This is Atticus Drake’s first outing. I wrote about Venice because I remembered it as a not only a beautiful city, but one where any number of secrets may lurk. I spent a few weeks in an apartment in the centre of the city, not far from Florian’s where Atticus has prosecco with Kate, and was completely overwhelmed by the architecture, the sense of history, and the combination of excitement, opulence, decadence, and mystery.
